Eurosport transmits over 120 hours each week and 6200 hours of sporting action every year. Of 4000 hours in primary broadcasting, 53% is Live. The daily sports bulletin "SportsCentre", gives the latest sports results, news and analysis. With a high calibre team of 400 professional world class commentators and expert guests, Eurosport also provides the most detailed, authoritative and exciting commentary available in 19 languages.
In January 1999, Eurosport launched its Internet Web site: www.eurosport.com. Following its' successful launch, it now attracts up to 117 million page impressions monthly and over 3,9 millions unique viewers. There are versions in Spanish, English, French, German, and Italian.
In September 2000, to complete the building of the company as a strong multimedia offer, Eurosport launched Eurosportnews, a channel of sports information which combines television and Internet in just one media 24 hours per day. Distributed in Italy, Israel, Portugal, Asia (Malasya, Honk Kong, China, India), Oceania (Australia, New Zealand) and Africa.
In January 2005, Eurosport launched Eurosport2, a channel complimentary to Eurosport: 1,800 hours of top sport events not shown on Eurosport, including 500 hours of live combined with our top new formated sport news service 24 hours a day. Already distributed in 17 million homes, it is available in 6 languages: English, Italian, French, Polish, Greek and Turkish.
On top of that, we have Eurosport Mobile, Eurosport content on the move via SMS, WAP, & I-MODE, in a total of 5 versions: English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.
