PAUL MARTIN, Journalism in Internet.
Paul Martin is an Internet specialist and computer consultant with over
9 years of experience in the creation, design and programming of multimedia
websites and Internet applications for entertainment, retail, and industrial
clients located throughout the United States and Europe. His clients have
included Renfe, Paramount, Rightstart.com, BP and many others. He has
been the Director of E-Commerce and New Media for Guidance Solutions in
California, Programmer Analist for Fourth Dimension Interactive (4DI)
in Los Angeles and Technical Investigator for Dames & Moore in Seattle,
Washington.
CARLOS MONASTERIO, Internet Edition.
Head of the Spanish website Eurosport.es, Carlos Monasterio has a 5-year degree in Journalism, a Master in Marketing and an MBA. He has worked almost seven years with Eurosport, three of them as a TV news producer in Paris, and as a commentator in Madrid, taking over as the head of the online department of Eurosport in Spain in 2003. His duties include dealing with daily basis editorial contents, partnerships, managing staff, etc. Previously, he has worked for Europa Press, Mediapro, Cadena Cope, RNE, and TVE, in events like La Liga, Champions League, Wimbledon, Roland Garros, ACB League.
KEITH BOWERS, Live Studio Presenting.
Keith Bowers has a passion for international journalism. He began his
journalistic career on a local newspaper in the UK and then worked for
two years in the Seychelles as a newsreader/scriptwriter for an international
radio station. He has worked for UK’s leading news agency, the Press
Association and spent nearly 20 Years at the BBC as a producer, programme
editor and manager in News and Current Affairs. Keith was deputy editor
of the BBC’s daily flagship news show, Newsnight and in 1995 was
the founding Editor of the award-winning international documentary strand,
Correspondent. After leaving the BBC in August 2002 he has been a freelance
consultant and executive producer and has been involved in media projects
in places such as Ethiopia , Kosovo, Georgia and Bosnia.
LUIS CRISTÓBAL SERRANO, Making Television Programs.
Luis Cristóbal Serrano did studies on Law and politics and masters
in audiovisual production. He begun his career as production assistant
in a thematic Spanish TV channel. Since then he developed his work in
several audiovisual fields. As producer he has worked for the main TV
commercial production companies in Spain.
As a journalist and director he has worked for CNN+ and Euronews, making
TV reports and documentaries. He is now a freelance producer. His latests
works have been the TV identity for TV channels for England, Middle East
and Spain. He is also preparing different TV documentary-series for Marea
Films.
TOBY MOODY, Live Commentary Workshop.
Toby Moody has been the lead commentator for the Grand Prix Motorcycles
on Eurosport for the past seven years. This in depth knowledge and enthusiasm
has led to his commentary being broadcast in USA and Australia too, together
with reporting for Motorcycle Racer magazine. He also is the voice of
the Paris-Dakar in the USA, Australia and South Africa through their local
networks. Indeed, having started as a mechanic at Benetton F1 and Prodrive
(rallying) he has also been involved in commentating and TV production
of WRC events for Eurosport. Hosting big press launches for Honda Europe
and voice overs for such clients as Jordan F1, Honda Japan and computer
games for Moto Grand Prix and Paris-Dakar.
COSME PUERTAS, Audiovisual Language.
Graduated in Communication and Publicity, Cosme Puertas has an extensive
CV. Has studied Film Direction in the New York film Academy under the
direction of Robert de Niro and Publicity Film Production in the George
Lucas Film Academy, in the University of Southern California. He has worked
as Producer Director for Zeppelin TV, Prime Time Communications and Planeta
2010.
IÑIGO ROTAETXE, Graphics On Television.
Director & creative director for Ostra Delta since 1996 his work
for Spanish and international TV Stations has been awarded with a gold
BDA Promax 2002 for HBO Cinemax on air Package; silver BDA Promax 2000
for PSN News on air Package; Imagina 1991 and Eurographics Best TV Open
1991 for Great Artist in the World of Comics. He has also supervised,
shot and edit Visual Effects for Kika by Pedro Almodovar, Niño
Nadie by J.L. Borau and La Buena Vida by David Trueba. Film director of
Tiempo Muerto (Iñigo Rotaetxe and Santiago Tabernero), best film
at the International Short Film Festival of San Roque (1998), and Cine
de Barrio-Diminutos del Calvario 2002,short film.
NACHO MARTIN,Camara Workshop.
Nacho Martín has developed his whole professional career working
for the Spanish News Agency EFE
starting as an Assistant Cameraman in 1988. In addition to his continuing
post at EFE, he has worked around the world for more than 50 worldwide
EFE clients such as BBC, ZDF, ARD, RAI, TELEVISA, MTV, TV2, DR, Bloomberg.
Becoming a multiskilled cameraman and never forgetting the journalistic
side of his job has been the key point for him. In these 15 years, he
has covered all sorts of news, from politics to music festivals, from
sports to financial news, etc. He has been based in Germany (1994-95)
and London-UK (1996-2000). Highlights of his career include: first Gulf
War, Berlin Filmfestpiele, Northern Ireland Peace process, Hong Kong 1997
Handover, 1996 Football Eurocup, several EU Summits, UEFA Champions League,
Lady Di Funerals White House and Camp David coverage. Member of the team
Awarded for the Best Documentary at Premios Goya 2003 (Spanish Film Academy
Awards).
JAVIER RUBIO, Live Commentary Workshop.
Javier Rubio began his career as commentator with Antena 3 Radio, one
of the main radio networks in Spain, where he covered from 1986 to 1994
the World Rally Championship and Formula 1 Championship all around the
world. He has written and published Carlos Sainz's biography, “Carlos
Sainz: Pasión por ganar”. In 1994 he joined Eurosport team
as commentator of Motorsport and he is a contributor of the magazine “Motor

SIMON REED, Live Commentary Lecturer.
Head of English Commentary, Simon Reed has been working for British Eurosport
for the last 10 years. He has covered three Olympic Games and is the main
tennis commentator. He previously worked for the BBC Radio and ITV as
a presenter and commentator.
ANTONIO RIVERO, Physical Activity And Sports.
Director of the Theory, Recreation and Organisation of Sport Department
in the Universidad Europea de Madrid (UEM), from the Physical Activity
and Sport Faculty. He has just published the book “DEPORTE Y MODERNIZACIÓN,
la actividad física como elemento de transformación cultural
y social en España 1910-1936”.
CHRISTOPHE FOGLIO, Presentation and demonstration of a paneuropean news
sport channel (technical, journalistic and research aspects).
Graduated in movie and television (ESEC in 1987), Christophe Foglio has
spent all his professional life on television, mostly in the production
and technique area. He started in 1988 in a production company, "Ex
Nihilo" where he was involved of video art shorts programs production
for the French channel Canal +. From 1992 to 1995 he worked for the French
/ German cultural channel ARTE as technical administrator. From 1995 to
1998, he worked for TF1 as Technical Director of the channel. In 1998
he launched INFOSPORT as technical director, the first sports news channel
in Europe working on a complete digital platform. In 2000 he joined the
Eurosport group as technical director and he launched Eurosportnews in
September 2000 and the new production and transmission platform of Eurosport
France in December 2001. He is in charge of 100 people, in Production,
Post-Production, Library, Documentation, Video and Audio Transmission.
MARCEL MONTEALEGRE, Digital Editing Workshop.
Marcel Montealegre has received the official certification of Avid Expert User by Avid Tecnologies and has been working as a Professional Editor for 9 years in the USA and Spain. He has been in charge of teaching the AVID system to professional Broadcasters of channels such as Canal Plus, CNN Plus and Sportmanía, and he also imparts Non Lineal Systems lessons at Carlos III University in Madrid.
RALF ITZEL, Live Commentary Workshop.
Ralf Itzel has been a journalist since 1990 and works as a football commentator
for Eurosport (he commentated games in World Cup 1998 and Euro 2000).
He also works as a sports writer freelance for several German newspapers
and magazines. Besides his mother tongue German, he speaks English, Spanish
and French fluently.
ALEXANDRE GARCÍA MÁS, Sports Psychology.
Alexandre G. Más is the author of 11 books and a usual collaborator
of the most prestigious Spanish Magazines as well as a habitual lecturer
of International conferences and Symposiums in the Psychology area. He
has been teaching sports psychology for many years in the University of
Barcelona, Sevilla, Palma de Mallorca and Mexico.
